Coach Webb will be entering his seventh year (2006-present) as head coach of the Corona del Sol Aztec baseball. His teams have had excellent season records for the past six years and have been in the State Play-offs four of those six years.
The 2009 Team brought home Corona del Sols second STATE CHAMPIONSHIP in baseball by beating Hamilton 11-1 in the state finals.
The 2011 team finished their season with a record of 14 wins - 15 losses , made the state play-offs, but lost the first two tournament games and were elminated. Coach Webb also won his 100th game as a head coach at CdS during the 2011 season.
Coach Webb has a rich background in baseball, having played at Phoenix Camelback High School for three years (1989-1991). He played for his father, Charlie Webb. Dave went on to play at Scottsdale Community College. He finished his degree at Grand Canyon University (1996). Dave also received his masters degree from Arizona State University (2003).
Coach Webb teaches World History/Geography and World Geography. He is considered an excellent teacher in the classroom and on the baseball field. He will continue the baseball TRADITION at CDS.
Dave has worked for USA baseball as a field supervisor at the USA Junior Olympic Tournaments and was a trial coach in 2005. In 2008 and 2009 Coach Webb led the USA Baseball 14U Team to a Gold Medal in the COPABE Pan Am "A" Qualifier .
He is Married to Kellie and has two children, Bryan and Kacie Lynn.
